a social media platform partnered with Stanford’s Youth Center for Mental Health

  • Youth-Led Media Platform

yello U.S.A. started with a focus group of Asian American youth focusing on mental health due to Stanford’s Youth Mental Health Initiative. Youth expressed the need for culturally accurate media representation in society.

Thus, yello U.S.A. is a social media platform for Asian American influencers and youth to freely express their identity and advocacy through media.

  • Our Impact

We had a total of three omni-channel projects: a documentary video series that mainly lives in YouTube, a visual storytelling campaign for youth in California that mainly lives on all social media platforms, and a zine-styled campaign designed by graphic novelist Angel Trazo that lives on all social media platforms.

We were nominated for two mental health awards through our social media projects.

  • The way you tell your story online can make all the difference
